Local Liaison Group
A Local Liaison Group (LLG) for KGSP was set up in 2021, providing a forum for two-way dialogue between the project team and the community during the construction period.
The liaison group fosters open and honest communication throughout the year. Community representatives are free to ask the KGSL team questions about the project, whilst they receive regular updates and information on matters regarding the KGSP. We would encourage residents to speak to members of the LLG to receive updates on the KGSP and submit questions they would like their local community representatives to raise with the project team.
The LLG meets quarterly and is made up of local elected and community representatives. Members include representatives from:
- Byley Parish Council
- Lach Dennis and Lostock Green Parish Council
- Allostock Parish Council
- Cheshire West and Chester Council

A community benefit fund similar to the funds previously in place for the other existing gas storage projects at the Holford Brinefield, where a total investment of over £400,000 across 10 years of construction, will be available.
